The Eternal Light: A Historical Retrospective, a star-studded documentary produced by Diva Communications, will begin airing on ABC affiliated stations on January 8, 2006. The program is an examination of the Eternal Light, a radio and television series that with 2000 shows, lasted over forty years and starred acting luminaries such as Alan Arkin, Raymond Masey, Gene Wilder, Ralph Bellamy and Jean Stapleton. It includes interviews with Nobel Peace Prize recipient Elie Wiesel, actor/musician Theodore Bikel, Ruth Messinger, NBC news correspondent Carl Stern and segments of the only video interview with Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. Tony award winning actress Marion Seldes, fresh from her critically acclaimed run in Terence McNally's play "Dedication, or the Stuff of Dreams," also appears in the documentary and narrates.
Air times, which will continue for the next two months on ABC stations nationwide, are listed at http://www.jtsa.edu/about/communications/tvradio/eternallight_air_table.shtml
