JTS Chancellor Arnold Eisen's blog on "What does Conservative Judaism stand for?"

Welcome to Neve Shalom!

We are the leading egalitarian Conservative synagogue in Central New Jersey. For over seventy years, we have been more than a house of prayer. Our synagogue has been a second home for our members. Our numbers are growing every year.

Your education begins here. We offer an award-winning Adult Education program. Our halls are always buzzing with activity from our Hebrew school. Our nursery school is proud to have earned the accreditation of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Bravo!

Neve Shalom boasts a vibrant Men's Club and Sisterhood. Our youth programming is the envy of the community. Our calendar is full of events and programs that are meant to teach and inspire. Above all, we have fun and are truly one large family. We look forward to welcoming you. Join us and catch the spirit!

  • A letter from our President

Thank you for clicking on www.neveshalom.net. Please peruse the website and learn about our synagogue, people and programs. We hope it provides you with a sense of our passion for participation. We are a community of involved members.

I urge you to visit Neve Shalom. The building is a place of constant activity - teeming with children, teens, adults and seniors - all enthusiastically experiencing Judaism. Come and converse with fellow friends, learn with fellow students and pray with fellow congregants. We are particularly proud of our daily morning minyan which is open to all.

I encourage you to speak with our staff of professionals. These dedicated people are ready to assist you with registering for a class, joining an activity or arranging a simcha. They are a valuable source of information that should be utilized on a regular basis.

I invite you to get in touch with me if you have questions about our community. It would give me an opportunity to get to know you and tell you about this wonderful place. It's great to be a Jew - it's great to be a member of Neve Shalom.
